REPORT OF INTERNATIONAL MASTERCLASS ON PROCTOLOGY AND PELVIC FLOOR DISEASES
Just one week after I realized that all the efforts of our Surgical Unit reached the goal to make it possible in the way we love it.
The international masterclass was a two days event characterized by lectures and presentations on the clinical framework and the treatment of challenging topics.
There was lot of time at the end of each session dedicated to educational videos and discussions among audience and experts coming from different countries and continents debating and sharing their own experiences.
There was also a great involvement of young experts from the Young SICCR and Young ESCP groups that leaded to a surprising social media involvement (#IMoPPD) thanks also to the support of the senior experts.
Here the statistics on Twitter (courtesy of @JulioMayol)
The MASTERCLASS had an innovation regarding how to make questions during the presentation. Using a QR-code or a direct short link all the attendees wrote their name and questions on a dedicated web-page and then all the questions were displayed on the four 60-inches screens placed in the conference hall.
Here the video presentation of the congress showed at the beginning.

The new technology breaks down the distance and increases the sharing of knowledge.
For a consciously shared surgery.
