Just yesterday, the was the launch of the new multicentric survey promoted by You-SICCR under the name ISMAEL, which stands for Internet and Social Media Among colorectaL patients.
It is a transversal survey that aims to provide a snapshot related to the impact of internet and social media in patients affected by colo-rectal diseases .

The main target is to know if the web is used by the patients as a source of information in order to improve online communication, also trying to make it easier, immediate and with an easy access but also made by solid scientific basis.
The study is organized by the Young-SICCR which has already completed another epidemiological study presented during the national SICCr congress in Rome about the role of colorectal resident in Italy.
All colorectal centers in which there is at least one SICCR member can participate. The minimum target of total interviewed patients is 3000 with a minimum of patients enrolled for a single center of 200.
